STANDING ALONE

I can see the flower upon which my life grows, blooming into a rose.

See the hope and courage in the strength of the petals.
As long as I am, I will be.
The flower will never wilt or die.
As my life grows back, I shall become strong.
I shall become only dependent on one.
That one will be me.
I will rise with my petals high.
My life as a flower will bloom and prosper as I grow.
I may not be the pick of the patch, but I am just as beautiful as the rest.

I will stand as one, but not a lonely soul.
The tears will be far from my smile.......

  3. Hai there rubina... well well .. your poem has just reminded me of an old saying from my regional folk tales.. that an girl/female/womenhood... itself is an wonderful metaphor for FLOWER.. like an flower which has to go through different stages in its cycle to reproduce the next cycle, meanwhile the the fragrance, the beauty, the wildness, the gentle tossing heads wen an breeze flows, the naughtiness, standing among many wild entities strong and still untill it ends are met.. the final stage of reproducing fruits and seeds and then grow and glow as an beautiful living things.. wow.. what can i say... dear rubina wen u compared life with rose and blooming flower this is what i felt... though it could have meant for all but my perception just struck this way....

Stand and face what ever you can... rest all the blessing and wishes always come handy... i WISH U NO MORE tearS should be shed in pain... But an tear wen you are happy n wen ur in glee and gay... I want you to grow cheerful and cherish each moment the way it comes....

  7. Ashu thank you dear for visiting my blog, and posting your comments...I am glad my poem took you into nostalgia remembering the folklore of your region....we girls, women represent every FLOWER grown in this wilderness called the world, giving fragrance to one and all reminding the nature what beautiful creation God has made of us, as equal to the flowers if not more.... 12. My dear Rubina,
Beautiful indeed!! Women are like flowers. Not all blossom the same with age, color or size, yet they are all beautiful. In fact, each one of them help decorate the garden and heart of the earth with their sweet, sweet perfume scent. This poem was very well written (smile).
